A stone’s throw from Lake Erie, this new fast food restaurant needed a plant palette that would
reflect the character of nearby waterpark resorts, marinas, and lake town neighborhoods. Boulevard Studios prepared a landscape
plan that would tolerate the blustery conditions of northern Ohio, while complementing the architecture of the building.
Even at the ground level, traditional mulch is replaced with large river rounds that reflect the character of the region, picking up colors and textures from the building as well. Intended to provide long-term protection of the soil and weed control, the stone will stay put and, when coupled with the plant selections’ compact shrubs and ornamental grasses, make this landscape simple and low maintenance for the restaurant’s young owner.
